Áridos de Melo participates as a supplier in the largest urban development in the southeast of Madrid: VALDECARROS. As a benchmark company for the design and execution of pavements, and once the mandatory test section was completed, the manufacture and spreading of the compacted lean concrete began, which will form part of the pavement of the new southeast Valdecarros neighborhood.

Manufactured with high-quality materials from the Barajas de Melo gravel pit, and placed on site with high-performance paving equipment, a finish was achieved with much greater precision than manual execution.

Likewise, as it is a concrete with a low water/cement ratio, a much lower shrinkage was achieved compared to conventional hydraulic concrete, reducing the appearance of cracks due to reflection in the upper firm layers of bituminous mix.
