Áridos de Melo participates in the construction project for access roads to the Metropolitano Stadium (At Madrid)

Áridos de Melo has begun the final paving of the new access roads to the Metropolitano Stadium, owned by Atlético de Madrid. The sections of the new M-40 service road, built between the Arcentales roundabout and the Avenida de Canillejas roundabout in Vicálvaro, will be opened progressively. This is a two-lane service road 3.50 metres wide, with an inner hard shoulder 1.0 metre wide and an outer hard shoulder 2.5 metres wide, which will ease access to the M-40 southbound from the Arcentales roundabout. It will be the continuation of the underpass built under the Arcentales roundabout, which facilitated access to the districts of San Blas and Vicálvaro, and the municipality of Coslada.
The construction used a road surface section consisting of an esplanade stabilised with type 3 cement, a sub-base of soil cement and 20 cm of hot bituminous mixtures.
Áridos de Melo, from its facilities in the Vicálvaro industrial estate, has provided the most sustainable means and techniques available on the market for the execution of the works, using more than 27,000 tonnes of bituminous mixes and more than 17,000 cubic metres of soil cement in the execution of the works.
