Áridos de Melo supports the technical conference on construction and demolition waste management in the Community of Madrid organised by AGESMA for 21 October.

The event will bring together representatives from public administrations, technical experts, companies in the sector and professional associations to analyse the challenges of the circular economy in the field of construction.

Throughout the morning, there will be presentations focusing on regulatory updates and the practical applications of recycled materials. Among them, the participation of Tomás García Sanz, head of the Technical Support and Innovation Department of Madrid City Council, stands out. He will explain the incorporation of recycled aggregates into municipal technical regulations.

The legislative section will feature Melisa Juanes Le Veve, from the Sub-Directorate General for Waste at the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, who will outline the changes to the Law on Waste and Contaminated Soil for a Circular Economy, which is key to increasing recovery rates and promoting reuse.

One of the highlights will be the presentation of the AGESMA Manual of Recycled Aggregate Applications for the Community of Madrid, drawn up following the entry into force of Decree 11/2024.

The meeting will also feature a round table bringing together the Official Association of Architects of Madrid, the Official Association of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects and the Association of Civil Engineers of Madrid to discuss the role of each discipline in the implementation of the circular economy.
